Angel food cake, whipped cream and a ton o strawberries
Today was pretty good. I haven't been able to get to sleep until about 5 in the morning. The good thing is that I know a ton of pop culture references which help me out when I decide to take up the 21st century addition of Trivial pursuit. So since I am not getting asleep until about 5, I usually wake up a little later which I what I did today.
I got my hair trimmed by a lovely lady that belonged to the Helena board of trustees or something, talked about how the sheriff came over to house, and talked about how her daddy had a attic fan in her house when she was little and it kept the house cool. I thought this whole thing was cool because it made me see what the majority of conversations would be like about 50 years ago. Seriously, no one ever says sheriff anymore, every police officer is a cop, or police man, po po, and what not...nobody says sheriff...and I liked it when she said it.
Nick and I then ran some errands. It was really nice being with him. It just makes everything more fun because he is the funniest person I know. And we poke fun at eachother so our conversations are pretty funny. Nick made sure to pick me up some suckers at the bank, blue is my favorite. I like being near him. I think sometimes if I don't get my own space I might get frustrated but them when I he not right next to me, I feel like he is too far away.
While Nick went back to work, I hung out with Mama F and it was so enjoyable. We went to Wal-Mart which was fun because we laughed most of the time. Then we made Nick's favorite cake, angel food cake with a ton of whipped cream and strawberries (we celebrated his birthday early since we will be gone). Mama F and I then talked a whole lot about everything, Nick growing up and her wedding, and jen as a baby, and me as a baby. I really loved talking with her and learning more about her and the fiedler family. I love that stuff. It makes me happy.
Doc birthday was today and we gave him his present. It was really sweet because I think the liked it a lot and he laughed at nicks card. You can tell he really loves his family.
Nick came home and we surprised him with the cake and now we are watching his TV pick, The Daily Show. I am lonely when he is not here and I am so glad that I get to spend forever with him.
P.S. I have tried to post some pictures but for some reason I can't. Hopefully I can change that soon.
Finally a new post
Well I had some trouble getting back here so its been a long time since I last posted a blog. I was reading Anna Browns BFF's blog (Kristin). On her blog she posted an entry about how her husband had fixed her up a meal and how sweet she thought that was. Well it just made me want to really be more thankful for nick and for my life. I have been in quite a slump due to all the massive life changes that nick and I have gone through and I have become very cynical about most things. This has kinda made me somewhat negative about life in general and I am usually a pretty positive person. She that stops right now. I am going to try to blog everyday about the great things that have happened during the day or week. I especially want to note all the great things that I see in me and nick and our relationship. So, im not good at this blogging but more positively, its going to get better.
So, today was great. About a week ago I was offered a great job at a very prestigious place in Birmingham Alabama. I am going to be an event sales manager. Basically, people come into the center and I show them around and tell them all that we can offer them for their special event. I work with the client to make their event just right for them and I work the events to make sure that all the little details are taken care of. I work varied hours every week which I like. The people seem like great people to work with and it is a great place to meet all the big people in Birmingham. Plus, I am very excited that they hold Birmingham sidewalk film festival there because I love independent films.
Anyways, back to today. I have no work clothes. You all know that I like to dress in my urban/hippie gear. Cool tennis shoes, cool t-shirts, and skirts. Slightly emo in the winter and hippie in the summer. So, I went out today to find some cool work clothes at some good prices. I found a lot of good stuff. New York and Company had some great deals and I found some clothes that still make me feel stylish, a little hot like, but still very professional. I also picked a present for my wonderful husband...shhhhh...and a magazine to help me decorate our apartment that we will be moving into on the 30th.
When I got home Mama F had bought and washed the most beautiful, poochy (I don't know if that's a word but it kinda sounds like what they looked like) plump, deep red cherries I had ever seen. And I feel like it was my first taste of paradise. I cannot tell you how delicious these cherries were and they were fresh not canned. I also decided to put some cheese on my rice and I love sour cream so YES I DID IT...I put sour cream on my rice and it was freaking good.
Then Nick came home and we got to spend some nice time together. I told him some new stories that he has never heard. One story about how I won tickets to a nelly concert...And I went...And it was fun....OKAY!!! I also got to read a sweet quote he put up on his blog. He blushed when I told him I read it and it was so sweet. We watched the Japanese people play pretty games and it made me smile because nick was laughing hysterically at this show, just like my dad. Now we are watching Conan and I am so glad that I can look over at my sweet husband in his jammies, watching the TV. If I was a betting woman, I would bet that in about 15 minutes he will get hungry and we will get a bowl of apple jacks together and I think that cute. Okay I feel retarded but good too. That's all for now.
Our sweet day

It was the most wonderful day of our lives. It was so perfect. I am going to write a journal about the whole weekend and put snippets on this blog so I can relive the whole thing because it don't want to ever forget how special it was. Nick and I were so calm too which made everyone else just relaxed. Everyone said it was the best wedding ever! The people at Gabrella Manor said it was the wedding of the year! We cried (and nick I were laughing because we were crying during the vows, me especially, but we could hear all the sniffles from our guests which made it so sweet) we ate (the best food ever!!!) we dance the whole night away (yes the grandparent got doooowwwwnnn too) and we hugged as nick and I were whisked away as husband and wife. I have the best husband ever and my family just fell more in love with him. And my grandparents invited the whole fiedler clan over to their house. Anyways, I felt beautiful and Nick was so handsome. I never really planned the perfect wedding when I was little and I just tried to come up with some good ideas for the wedding, but we could not have dreamt up a better wedding. It was so much better than I could have imagined. A definite fairy tale! Everyone should get married at Gabrella Manor!!!! They are amazing!

2nd Shower

Allison and Jason
Stephy and Tripp with a little Bridget on the side
Juli and Brad

And here is a look at our second shower. We had a ton-o-fun thanks to Bridget and Whitney. And there was a little present that stuck out....I will just say it was a medly and it was a present assigned for the bedroom. And thats all im going to say about that. Anyways, I loved getting to see all my friends again and share high school stories and talk about who is doing what now. I seriously love my friends so much. They are just so fun and everyone of them is the life of the party so there is never a dull moment. So I loved my friends that were there and I am so fortunate to still continue to meet friends that just make my life more joyful. Lets just say, Vespa?
